This interactive workshop with our Founder Anouk van Dijk, looks at Countertechniuqe from a personal experience. Departing from questions submitted beforehand by participants, a selection of these questions will be used for personal reflection and collective exploration. Digging into old habits and new territories, we will look at how a pro-active approach to taking a Countertechnique class can inform your dancing in general. You can either hand in a question, or observe and absorb, this workshop that moves from reflection to physical action, leaves space for different forms of participation. Some previous experience with Countertechnique is recommended.
Anouk van Dijk is the Founding Artistic Director of Countertechnique, and former Artistic Director of Chunky Move, one of Australia’s leading dance companies. Anouk currently works as a free-lance choreographer, director and teacher worldwide. Van Dijk has trained all 35 Countertechnique teachers to date.
Maximum participants per workshop: 30. Participants are accepted on a first come first serve basis.
This workshop is tailored to small spaces and open for professional dancers and senior dance students.
