Ballare Carmel Artistic Director Lillian Barbeito will teach COUNTERTECHNIQUE on Tuesday, January 3rd, and Friday, January 6th from 9:00 -10:40 am at Hidden Valley Music Seminars as part of Carmel Dance Festival's Dance & Choreography Fellowship Program.
The Fellowship provides exceptional mentorship, a nurturing and creative research atmosphere, and community-based financial support to next-generation dance artists in order to foster their talents and careers.

Through an application process, a cohort of promising performers was selected and will participate in a rigorous week-long immersion into progressive ballet, Countertechnique, Hot Mess, Ballare Carmel's repertoire, creative process with Choreography Fellows, forums, and networking sessions. The Fellowship will culminate with an opportunity for dancers to share their talent in a pay-what-you-can performance and reception at Hidden Valley Music Seminars on Saturday, January 7th, 2023.
